III Latin American and Caribbean Energy Week
Event description
The III Latin American and Caribbean Energy Week is set to support the exchange of experience and knowledge within the region's energy sector by generating business and project financing opportunities.
The event brings together many key players from the sector, including representatives of the governments of the 27 member countries of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE). It has been co-organised by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay (MIEM) and OLADE.
This year, the event will host the sector's first Latin American and Caribbean business roundtable, which will be an excellent opportunity to establish contacts and develop projects and studies which contribute to the progress of the energy sector. Other sessions will be hosted by the co-organisers, as well as Sustainable Energy for All, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and others.
IHA's Chief Executive Richard Taylor will speak on the role of hydropower at the 'Utilities of the Future' session as part of IDB's 'Regional Policy Dialogue' on 12 December.
