Malcolm Turnbull, former Australian Prime Minister and now IHA President has sent an open letter to the UK Prime Minister about the potential to improve UK energy security and ensure a reliable and affordable decarbonised electricity grid. Rapid deployment of the cap and floor mechanism for long duration electricity storage can lead to the development of much needed new pumped storage hydropower capacity in the UK.
