PLN is Indonesia’s state-owned electric utility company, wholly-owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.

Established in October 1945, it provides most of the public electricity and electricity infrastructure in Indonesia including power generation, transmission, distribution, construction of power plants and retail sales of electricity.

PLN has a power generation capacity that reaches 65.09% of installed power generation capacity in Indonesia of 69,040 MW.
