Dr Gordon Edge has been involved in energy throughout his career, on a path through academia, journalism, renewable energy advocacy and strategic management. Most notably, he spent 13 years at RenewableUK, leading the British wind industry’s policy thinking and advocacy through a period of remarkable development and growth. He was in charge of the process of widening the strategy of the Low Carbon Contracts Company into an organisation delivering on the UK’s wider net zero ambitions beyond the initial focus on the power sector. In all his roles, he has applied high level thinking and analysis to drive the transition to a low-carbon economy.
