Voith Hydro is one of the world’s leading suppliers of hydroelectric equipment and services which develops long-term solutions for large and small hydro plants all over the world. As member of the International Hydropower Association and key player in the sector Voith Hydro also is among the signatories of the San José Declaration on Sustainable Hydropower promoting hydropower as clean, green, modern and affordable solution to climate change. In addition, the company frequently is a Supporting Partner of the World Hydropower Congress.

Since 2010 Dr. Tobias Keitel holds various management functions at Voith Hydro. He became President & CEO of the company in November 2022, following Uwe Wehnhardt who also served as a IHA Board member from 2016 to 2023.

Within Voith Hydro, Dr. Keitel not only was a project manager himself but also lead the Large Hydro Business at the German headquarters. In 2016 he became member of the global Management Board, in charge of operations, project management, purchasing and sales. He studied industrial engineering, holds a doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from École Supérieure de Commerce in Paris. Before joining Voith, he already worked in the fields of energy and renewables for Boston Consulting Group and MAN AG.
